Church Defibrillator: Presentation of Training Certificates
Each year Omagh Methodist Bowling Club donates money to a worthy cause and in 2024 decided to purchase a defibrillator for the church. It has been placed in the downstairs foyer outside the Peter Good Hall where it is readily accessible to both church goers and hall users. On 9th January 2025 a training session in the use of the defibrillator was held attended by some 16 persons, representing the congregation and the Bowling Club.
The demonstration was led by Noreen Devanney from the UK Resuscitation Council, ably supported by Sandra Edgar. Everyone was given the opportunity to practise CPR [Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation] on “Resusciann” a life-size mannequin with a mechanical chest wall capable of simulating heart and lung movement.
The photograph below shows those who had attended the training course [and who were out at Church on Sunday 2 February] holding their “Certificates of Attendance”.
