Bowling Club
Omagh Methodist Bowling Club resumed activities on Tuesday 8th September 2026 after a summer recess during which the floor of the Peter Good Hall was levelled, sanded and varnished. It was hoped that this will make the bowls run truer and smoother! A warm welcome was given to the church’s new minister, Rev Colin Houston who quickly showed that he was no novice. Regular members were pleased to welcome back Mr. John Dias whose attendance during the previous year had been interrupted by time spent in hospital.
At the A.G.M. in April it had been decided to resume in September and run the club for a month to see if attendances justified keeping the club open. In the event things got off to a good start with a mood of optimism about the future.
