There was a very good turnout in Omagh Methodist Church on Sunday 31st May 2026 for the annual Sunday School Service. The children had been well prepared by their teachers and all the practise in rehearsal paid off handsomely. Reverend Eleanor Hayden led the praise, but the day belonged to the children who led the congregation in prayer by holding up posters and joining in the singing of favourite hymns. Instead of a sermon the children acted out the story of the Good Samaritan with parents and friends joining in the actions. At the close of the service each child received a gift for their regular attendance and participation. To her surprise Rev. Eleanor also received a gift; it came from the Sunday School to mark her retirement with thanks for all her support during her time as minister.
