Carol Service 21.121.25
Omagh Methodist held its annual carol serviced in the church on Sunday 21 December 2025. The event was well supported and the church filled by a congregation which included the children of the Sunday school, their parents and other family members. Rev Eleanor expressed the delight of all present at seeing little Lily Colton back in church after four anxious months in hospital. It was entirely appropriate that Lily was invited to light the candles on the Advent wreath to get the service underway.
Following the call to worship the Christmas Choir set the tone with a joyful rendition of “Carols, sing to the King”. The Order of Service included Traditional Bible readings and familiar carols along with delightful contributions from the children of the Sunday School. Aoife Paskin gave a vivid account her participation in the Ulster Project 2025 illustrated by a power point slide show. Rev Eleanor used a John Lewis Christmas video to talk about gifts we cannot wait to give to show that the Lord is impatient to give everyone the gift of grace and salvation.
To close the service Rev Hayden led the congregation is a hearty rendition of “We wish you a Merry Christmas” while expressing the hope of seeing everyone out again on Christmas morning.
