Omagh Methodist Church Bowling Club
The church bowling meets on Tuesday evenings in the Peter Good Hall. Despite numbers being small, those who attend regularly enjoy competing against each other, with more laughter than anything else when the bowls hit the wood, roll off the edge or finish up in the ditch. This does not imply a lack of skill; there are “touchers” aplenty in the course of each session. Fellowship is enhanced by a tea and biscuits mid-way through each meeting, with occasional treats such as mince pies and Christmas cake in the run-up to Christmas.

The 2025 Autumn season closed with an Xmas lunch in the Village Inn, Killyclogher, at which the bowlers were joined by Rev Eleanor Hayden and some other guests.  In the course of the season the club acquired two new mats and now has the scope for more players. Previous experience is not a requirement. Older members are more than happy to help new members acquire the elusive skill the delivers a bowl to the jack. All are welcome on a Tuesday night when the Club resumes after Christmas on the first Tuesday in January.
