On Sunday 21 November 2021 Omagh Methodist Church was the venue for a Circuit Service to welcome the President of the Methodist Church in Ireland, Dr Sahr Yambusa who was accompanied by his wife Clodagh.  Within the constraints of social distancing the church was filled to capacity for Dr Yambusa’s  first visit to the Omagh and Fintona Circuit.  The President’s address to young people was based on the emblems on his stole which had been specially created for him by members of his congregation in Waterford.  He explained the design incorporated representations of the Holy Spirit blowing out across the world, the multi-cultural cross in the Waterford Church and his Presidential theme, “People first under God”. Following his address to the congregation as a whole he was thanked by Rev Eleanor for an uplifting and challenging message. Gifts from the circuit were presented by Zoe and Jack Giles.
