The guest speaker at the Men’s Breakfast on Saturday 18 November 2017 in the Peter Good Hall was Rev David Cupples of Enniskillen Presbyterian Church.   In April – May 2017, as part of a sabbatical break in his ministry, he decided “to do the Camino”.  All keen walkers will know that this means a pilgrimage along the 670 mile “Way of St James” [El Camino de Santiago] from St Jean Pied de Port in southwest France to Santiago de Compostella in northwest Spain.  Walking some 15 miles a day, six days a week for 8 weeks, [Sundays off for rest and refreshment], he related how he enjoyed some glorious scenery, endured some terrible weather, got lost, became dehydrated, slept in dormitories, met memorable people along the way and generally had a wonderfully fulfilling time.   Spiritually refreshed he has written a book recounting his experiences which brought him into a closer relationship with God and has given him new insights into the meaning of life.

The next “Men’s Breakfast” will be an evening event on Wednesday 24 January 2018 with Mr Robert Colvin from the Mission Aviation Fellowship.   The next breakfast will be at 9.00 am on Saturday 24 February 2017  with Mr Jim Armstrong, Chaplain to the Northern Ireland Hospice. More information will be available in Church Notices nearer the time.

No special invitation to a meeting of the Men’s Breakfast is necessary; just turn up – we will be delighted to see you and you are assured of a warm welcome.   Having said that: You are invited.
