Drive-in Service Sunday 6 December 2020

On Sunday 6 December Omagh Methodist held its second Drive-in Service in the second period of lockdown on the second Sunday in Advent. It was well supported with some 18 cars in the carpark and a few hardy folk standing in “The Gallery”, that is behind the raised wall that overlooks the car park. Happily, for Rev Eleanor, standing on the back of Freddie’s trailer, the rain stayed away, and people stayed in their cars because of a real nip in the air.   Rev E confessed that her bobble cap had been loaned to her by a sympathetic parishioner who had noticed her ears turning blue in the frosty air at the 10.00 am Drive-in service in Mayne. After a short time of Praise and Worship Rev Eleanor thanked all those who had helped to make the church ready for the in-door Carol Service on Sunday 13th, drawing attention to the table laden with wrapped gifts for the children of the Sunday School.
