Christmas Morning Service 2020

The family service at 9.30 am on Christmas Morning in Omagh Methodist Church was badly affected by the latest round of restrictions introduced to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.    Mindful of  repeated Government entreaties to stay at home over the festive period fewer than 20 members of the congregation were in the church for what could well have been described as “a socially distanced masked service”.   Nevertheless the joy of Christmas filtered through and all were uplifted by Rev Eleanor’s message of hope for the New Year.  Her Santa suit proved too warm and after the opening hymn she set it aside and led the congregation in a short service of festive celebration.
