Omagh Methodists celebrated the harvest with two services on Sunday 6th October. The special preacher at the morning service was Rev Tom Deacon; the evening service was led by Rev Richard Johnston. At both services the church choral group, “Voices in Praise” led the worship and sang four anthems under the direction of Mrs Betty Doonan.   The church had been beautifully decorated with flowers and fruit, the eye-catching centre-piece being a cart-wheel below the pulpit garlanded with colourful blooms.   Images of this and other displays are shown in the photo gallery below.   Following the evening service all were invited for food and fellowship to a Harvest Supper in the Perter Good Hall.   After Rev Eleanor had said “grace” she thanked all who had worked to make the church so resplendent, not forgetting those who had ontributed to the music and provided the supper.   In closing she invoked the blessings of a bounteous God on all who had come together to share in the harvest.
