Members of the Congregation kneeling at the altar rail during the Communion Service for New Members

At Morning Service in Omagh Methodist on Sunday 5 May 2019 Rev Eleanor welcomed everyone with a particular welcome for the friends and families of the three young persons who were to be received into full membership.   In the weeks prior to the service Emma, Lewis and Sarah had attended preparation classes in the Manse and Rev Hayden praised their commitment and engagement with the course.  The liturgy for reception of young persons, as set out in the Methodist Worship Book, provides a meaningful and memorable experience for both the candidates and the congregation as together they dedicate and rededicate their lives to Christ. The service ended with Holy Communion during which Emma, Lewis, ad Sarah were joined at the altar rail by their families.  All three were presented with Holy Bibles to mark the occasion and were formally welcomed into the Church community by Society Stewards, Esther Millar and John Stewart. Also on Sunday 5th Mrs Esther Stewart was presented with a gift from the Congregation in recognition of her faithful service as the person behind the power point which Sunday by Sunday brings colour and joy to morning worship.
